Injury Prevention Workshop for Website

Have you ever felt uncomfortable or in pain in a yoga pose because of your condition? Learn how to therapeutically modify poses and keep your body safe while practicing.

This workshop will address the following areas and their commonly associated musculoskeletal conditions:

  • Lower back /spine (herniated disk, scoliosis)

  • Hips, (arthritis, SI joint instability,)

  • Shoulders (rotator cuff injury, bicep tendonitis)

  • Neck (degenerated/herniated disc)

  • Knees (ACL/MCL injuries)

  • Wrists (carpal tunnel, tendonitis)


We will discuss common poses that exacerbate these conditions and how to modify them to suit your needs. Students will learn do’s and don’ts for their condition.

Appropriate for all levels, (no yoga experience required) and yoga teachers who wish to better serve students with musculoskeletal conditions in group classes.
