Finding Ground - A Trauma informed Yoga experience for Healing & Self-Discovery with Gina V.
When we go through painful or traumatic experiences, our minds and bodies can
become stuck — unable to fully process what has happened. In modern mental health,
this stagnation can show up as depression, anxiety, difficulty in relationships, and a
persistent feeling that the past is still very present. Sometimes we simply cannot think or
rationalize our way out of an experience. The body remembers what the mind struggles
to release.
This workshop bridges the wisdom of yoga philosophy with trauma-informed mental
health practices, creating a holistic space to feel through what words alone cannot
always reach. Drawing on four of the eight limbs of Patanjali’s eight-fold path — the
Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, and Pranayama — alongside somatic and mindfulness-based
approaches, participants are gently guided toward greater self-awareness, emotional
regulation tools, and inner acceptance.
What You’ll Explore
• Yogic philosophy as a framework for compassionate self-inquiry and recognizing
unhealthy patterns
• Somatic movement and breath to regulate the nervous system and release
emotions
• Mindfulness practices as a bridge between psychological insight and embodied
healing

Anyone navigating a difficult life experience, emotional stagnation, or the lingering
effects of stress and trauma who is open to an integrative mind-body approach to
